Rooflight Interior Shading Solutions

New glass roof extensions look amazing but can work as a greenhouse with heat. Our customer brief was that they couldn’t use the space as it was too hot.

We worked together with our supplier Shy to come up with the perfect solution for solar shading using their zip skylight roller system with a 3% screen fabric in black. The 3% screen fabric offers the perfect shading, minimizing heat gain, without blocking the view. All metal hardware on the blinds were powder coated to match the RAL colour code as the metal work on the windows.

The blinds hand no visible tension wires so when the fabric was rolled into the cassettes 

Once the blinds were installed there was a dramatic change in the temperature of the room. Not only practical, the blinds looked stunning.
